AirPennNet Wireless

The wireless Internet network on campus is known as AirPennNet. AirPennNet provides fast, secure Internet access to all faculty, staff, and students. To prepare your laptop for Penn GSE, you will need to configure AirPennNet on it first.

Note: AirPennNet requires a PennKey to connect. If you have not setup your PennKey or cannot remember your password, please visit http://www.upenn.edu/computing/pennkey/.

Setting up AirPennNet on Campus

Connecting to AirPennNet is easy.

  1. Make sure you have installed and updated your Antivirus software. Penn provides free antivirus software for the Penn community.
  2. Be sure you have automatic updates setup for Windows or Mac OS.
  3. Connect to the “Connect to AirPennNet” network, open your web browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.), and follow the on-screen directions. Visit any http:// (not https://) site after connecting to the Connect to AirPennNet wireless network and open a web browser. You will be redirected to the JoinNow configuration page.
